In the spirit of innovation and continual improvement, we took the opportunity of the exceptional 2012 vintage to make some subtle but meaningful changes to our front labels. We brought the 19th century bank note sensibilities forward into the 21st century in order to enhance the detail and elegance of the allegorical imagery, as well as adding another layer to our security features.
Utilizing improved intaglio printing technology, we have recaptured intricate details and improved the tactility of the surfaces. Specifically, on the Harlan Estate label, the face and hands of the allegorical female figure have been rendered more elegantly by incorporating a period portrait engraving by the same artist from another work. Additionally, we enlarged slightly the font size of vintage date, making it easier to discern.
